Some of my friends have been consumed by money, envy, and greed lately and I've been curious on the subject. One thing I know is that God will provide all that you will need if you believe in Him, serve Him, trust Him, and follow His plan that He made for you. Greed, to me, is the love of money or the love of material possessions. There are several passages in scripture about greed that you can look up, including: Ephesians 5:5, James 4:2, 1 Timothy 6:9, Luke 12:15, 1 John 2:16, Matthew 6:24, James 4:3 and several more.
Keep praying that they will find contentment with whatever they have. True, God will provide what we need. But not necessarily what we want. What He provides may not be all that we want, but He will provide what is necessary for us according to His will & purpose, not ours, in order to bring Himself glory. Because remember, it’s not about us, it’s about God.
